For some crazy reason, athletes have decided to kneel during the National Anthem. Although I completely support the right to peacefully protest. I think kneeling for the National Anthem is hugely disrespectful to our nation. Our troops fight and die defending our flag and national anthem, so I do NOT understand why these spoiled athletes are kneeling.
Of course, these athletes said their intentions are NOT to disrespect our troops, and it is only to bring attention to police brutality and racial inequality. However, in my opinion, their actions are just upsetting the American people and are just simply wrong.
Fixing a Wrong with Wrong is Entirely Wrong!
Really, there are so many different ways to protest, and knowing that these individuals are famous and have large social media platforms, it would be effortless to bring attention to any critical issue. However, they continue to do something that many Americans find entirely unacceptable.
Overall I think these athletes are NOT in touch with reality. They are getting pay to entertain the American people, and they are failing to do their job. Americans work hard, and at the end of the day, they want to enjoy a game of baseball, football, soccer or whatever sport is playing. However, they have to deal with political issues instated of just being able to relax after a long day of hard work.
This is not working for the American people, and we see the results in the lack of support these athletes are receiving. Every major sport event is losing support every single day while these athletes continue to kneel. Many Americans are NO longer supporting any sports events.
In my opinion, these athletes are just spoiled individuals who have been blessed to play a game and make tons of money. It is funny when we see them complaining about oppression in America and making ridiculous statements. For example, our children are oppressed in this country when they themselves are examples of what you can become in the United States if you work hard. Some of the athletes came from nothing have become extremely wealthy. They are themselves an example of what can happen with dedication, professionalism, and hard work.
I have listed several videos on my thoughts on this issue.
